Description
Joan Budden began her healthcare career as a dental hygienist and worked her way all the way to the c-suite before recently retiring from her role as CEO and President of Priority Health. Join us for an intimate conversation with Joan where she will share insights and advice about leadership, mentoring and building a personal network based on her own experiences and lessons learned over the course of her 30 year career in the healthcare industry.

Joan Budden recently retired as the President and CEO of Priority Health, a $5 billion health plan that is nationally recognized for improving the health and lives of the people it serves. Under Joan's leadership, Priority Health became the second-largest health plan in Michigan and the fourth-largest provider-sponsored health plan in the country. Joan has more than 30 years’ experience in health care and is a tenacious advocate for lowering costs for individuals and employers. During her tenure with the company, Budden led Priority Health’s focus on prevention and quality, while constantly working to make sure members got the right care, at the right place, at the right time, for the right price. Joan also previously served as the chief marketing officer of Priority Health. She has led strategy and held various leadership and executive management positions in the health insurance industry.

Budden is “bi-coastal” in Michigan and is committed to supporting communities on both sides of the state. Throughout her career Budden has served on a variety of boards and committees including:

Joscelyn A. Davis has served in several, significant leadership positions in the private, public, and nonprofit sectors for more than 25 years, in which she has been responsible for strategic planning, leadership coaching and employee development, strategic communications, and organizational change management. As Chief Strategist at JADE Strategies, Inc. Joscelyn works closely with clients to execute approaches to complex challenges that align operations with mission, define stakeholder relationships, and result in operational efficiencies. Joscelyn is well-versed in leadership, organization, and management development. As an award-winning leadership coach, she has facilitated hundreds of workshops on leadership development, high-functioning teams, collaborative cultures, strategic planning, conscious leadership, and emotional intelligence.
